New thread for 47' Scorpion Pitbull Layout - new stats
« on: July 10, 2017, 11:41:28 PM »
Good Evening all,

I started this new thread since I've successfully made adjustments to my game and I need a layout for a Pitbull I'm getting from a league tomorrow evening. Started the new thread so everyone who commented can see there's been changes to see if they have have any suggestions now.

I'm playing 47' Scorpion this weekend and I have the following:

(Very proud of my Axis Rotation)

Axis Rotation - now 45 degrees (from 90)
Axis Tilt (I'm not sure - it was 10 and now I'm coming from the back of the ball more)
Rev Rate - was 230 and its more now)
Speed - 16.5 to 17

I worked with my cocoa house on Saturday trying to change my swing and tonight I worked on for 3 hours using my NRP and I get crazy pin carry with messengers flying across the deck - itt was awesome to see!

Your help is truly appreciated!

See if the new change actually sticks before jumping into a new ball and layout. One (successful) practice session is not enough to claim the change has worked. You need to develop muscle memory and be able to repeat that release before you can claim you have changed. It takes more work than one session.

See my response in the other thread. I think buying the Pitbull is a huge mistake if you think you NEED it. If you have the extra cash and just want another ball to play around with, then go for it. But know this. It is not going to be a magic ball. The layout is not going to be the big factor in ball motion. And trying to turn the Pitbull into something it was not meant to be is likely not going to work.

Will do and as far as buying the Pitbull....I'm not buying it...it's a ball I'm getting tonight as part of a league. Tonight I pick up the Quantum Fire Pearl, Maverick Solid, and Pitbull. Only other option was the Scandal pearl. With my having 5 strong balls I need something that use on very long patterns only...Scorpion or Badger

The Pitbull may be the grippiest ball that I have ever thrown!
Go pin up if you intend to use it on really long patterns.  Something like 55 x 4.5 x 30 should be what you are looking for on fresh.  You can always tinker with the surface and add a weight hole to tweak your reaction after seeing it roll.

Oh, you bought it - you just paid for it over the course of the league with higher fees.  --  JohnP
