Title: Preferred methods for layouts

Okay, so I have investing quite a bit of time in learning the "science" behind laying out a ball. To this point I've seen XxY, degree, and clock, and  (I believe) a variation or two based on these methods. Which do people prefer, and which more easily conveys the information needed to glean the approximate ball reaction?

Personally, I think I get alot out of the XxY method as mentioned in the Storm drilling sheet as referenced in http://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?TopicID=150895&ForumID=18&CategoryID=5 by strapper_squared. But no where do I see a chart, per say, of how moving each X and Y coordinate (and pin buffer) works.

But then I believe the Ebonite degree system as explained on http://www.rollrite.co.uk/secrets.php?id=8 and their One/TNV drill sheets could be superior, but seems to be missing vital information in explaining why pin distances from PAP and VAL are decided upon.

Perhaps I just need a class...

So I guess what I am really asking is what is your favorite method, and what were/are your education tools and references you use?

The degree method works best on asymetric balls.
