Just want to know what most of you are paying for a thumb insert to be put in a ball, nothing special just a normal urethane or vinyl slug.

A reasonable price to me would be 8-10 bucks. No hole is needed to that saves alot of time and work. Hope this helps, John

Our local shops were charging $7.50 for finger inserts and $10 for a slug - or both for $15.
