I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I'll ask anyway. A thumb mold cannot be made into either a Vise IT or a Turbo Switch Grip compatible slug right? You basically would have to get one of their slugs and attempt to drill/shape/carve it to try to duplicate your current "perfect" thumbhole. I'm entertaining the possibility of moving over to Vise IT, but the amount of tweaking I've done to my goto ball thumbhole would be very hard (in my opinion) to duplicate. Hence the question.

It can be done.....anything is possible.
Working with a friend of mine who owned a prostetics company for 30 years to figure out the resins and molds necessary in order to put it in a Switch Grip. I will get back to everyone once we work out a system.

im not sure about vise it but i know a mold can be done on the switch grip.

I just did it. You can buy the Switch Grip insert with NO slug installed so you can install a thumb mold, as long as it is 1 1/4" and it will slide right in. Piece of cake easy.

vise makes a hollow 1 7/8 slug that a thumb exactacation fits in. have it in all of my balls. very easy to do

you can do it in either system.
1. Switch a grip just use the inner sleeve with out a slug in it and put your mold in the sleeve.
2. IT system use the 1 3/8 all you and drill a 1 1/4 hole then you glue your mold in the IT slug.
This will work as long as your mold is a 1 1/4 if your mold is 1 3/8 then your out of luck!

This used to be the case, however, Vise now offers the IT system in 1-1/2" using a 1-9/16" hole. Also good for the people who want to transition from the Switch Grip to the IT.

sweet thanks for letting me know that, this will really help me in my shop alone. its pretty bad that i dont know this seeing as i am on vise staff. But cool hey do you know how much the 1 9/16 bit cost? I may need to pick one up
