Pin-in-finger is not a specific drill, it is rather a result if the ball driller is forced to place the pin due to pin distance and weight distribution and warranty relative to your PAP. The PAP will determine what the ball will do for you if the pin ends up in the middle finger hole.
With your PAP, the ball should have good length but not a too sharp break point. I guess it will be good on outside shots on medium conditions but this also depends on the ball itself and its surface prep. The pin distance of 2-2.5" does not leave much room, unless you put the pin under the fingers and maybe swing the CG out for eralier roll and arc (uh, dangerous statement these days with the cgnomaddah discussions). Anyway, you will most probably avoid overreactions with this pin placement. Not a bad desicion, IMHO.
