I have a question, not sure if I can explain this where it can be understood. I traded for a ball that doesn't have finger grips in it, and I want to put grips in it. So if the bridge isn't wide enough for the holes to be drilled out regularly, can the finger holes be drilled into off to the sides a little so it doesn't have to be plugged?? Hopefullysomeone understands what I mean.

Best to have them plugged anyway for the strutural integrity of the bridge.

Ok, then can I just drill the whole plugs out so it doesn't appear to be plugged. I just don't want any issues if I bowl in a regional.

Plugging is fine. You shouldn't have to drill it back out accoring to the rules.

11.8 Plugged Equipment. Plugging material may be used in accordance with
current USBC specifications. No foreign matter may be placed within the plug area, and all equipment shall otherwise comply will PBA regulations.
