Layout and Ball reaction
« on: September 25, 2019, 07:35:21 AM »
When I drill a symmetrical ball, using my PAP and a 4x4x2 layout, the pin is above my ring finger.  With that layout I get a fairly noticeable mid-lane reaction.  I am wondering what will happen to the ball reaction if I move the pin over the bridge, will I get an even more noticeable mid-lane reaction?

Goes to the question above:  After throwing quite well at a couple of ball demos (at a house I don't normally throw at), I am starting to wonder if the demo ball layout (pin over bridge) is a REALLY good fit for me and I should start using it or might it be the THS that I am matching up with?

Thoughts?  Opinions?  Facts?  Other?

That pin over bridge layout with the cg or mB kicked out is a pretty standard layout you see at almost all Demo shows!

I'd say they probably have the THS laid out to specs that will most definitely make the balls you're playing with, SHINE!!

But even having said that, I still use that layout on quite a few pieces that I score well with! The pin over the ring layout is a little earlier and stronger in the midlane
. Whereas the pin over the bridge is a down lane moving layout!

Stretching the Pin from your Ring to the Bridge will increase the Pin to Pap.  Typically this will bleed axis tilt faster, delay the breakpoint slightly, and reduce overall hook/flare.  On average I would expect less mid lane with that adjustment, not more.
