I was looking at Tracks drill sheets and they are quite different than the other companies. They put the pin high above and to the right of the fingers and 1-3 from the VAL. My question is how does this differ from the other companies that put the pin next to or above the bridge. It is the same distance from a persons PAP just in a vertical direction instead of around or above the finger holes. Real curious as to how the ball motion would differ. Thank you in advance.

Assuming the pin to PAP distance remains the same, the closer the pin gets to the VAL, the more quickly the ball will respond to friction. A ball with a 5" pin to PAP that is only 1" away from the VAL will rev up very quickly when the ball encounters friction and make a sharp left turn. A ball with a 5" pin to PAP that is 4" away from the VAL will rev up slower when it encounters friction and have a more arching motion.
