I am seriously losing my love of bowling for one reason. I cannot get rid of my thumb troubles. I've visited 3 pro shops in 2 states, and no matter who plugs and redrills my stuff, I always get a blister developing at the base of my thumb.
Can anyone explain what might be going on? I am not blaming the drillers either, just too similar to be a coincidence. I've been completely refit and measured as recently as Decemeber.
Specifically the problem is occuring in the soft skin right where the ball meets the bottom of the thumb. It steaches from the beginning of the thumb from the palm, up to the first crease of the thumb. The blister is usually the size of a pea and takes about 3 games to form, and the 4th to begin tearing. I've had my span either be a bit streached, to right now where its a bit short.
Please help me get this resolved
