I had a total inferno drilled with the Rico layout...my driller did not drill the x hole on the ball, he said the side weight is 3/4 so its legal no need for the hole...my question is:

1. Is the x hole necessary to get the right reaction for this layout
regardless of the side weight? (assuming it's 1oz or less side weight)

2. or Is the x hole use only to make the ball legal.

The total inferno is a symetrical ball, the x hole was discuss further by rico only on the assymetrical ball.

I would appreciate everybody's help..specially Mr. Ric Hamlin..thank you.

A sincere thanks to Ric for taking the time to contribute information in a positive manner for all of us. On a personal note, he's answered several questions for me in the past regarding layouts for equipment. I never specified whether it was Brunswick equipment, and he never asked. Nick Smith has also helped me whenever I had a question.

I hope that the users of this website understand that quality information, for free, is a rare commodity today.

Ric, T-God, & JohnP, I really do appreciate you taking the time to answer questions regarding layouts, ball reaction, etc. I get the gist of all your answers/explanations & do thank you. I didn't mean to stir up any problems or hard feelings among any of you. Thanks again!
The ball I was referring to is a PK18 black raspberry & it is layed out at 45*, just no hole. I think I'll try a hole & if I don't like it, I'll just plug it!

OUTSIDERS VIEW HERE:

230 said Ric has knowledge of "Brunswick" bowling equipment. Ric is clarifying, saying it's "all" bowling equipment.

That's the way I take it. I don't have much Big B equipment anymore, but Ric's helped me in years past with layouts/drilling questions, and the "Rico" drilling.

Life's too short to bicker, group hug.....................

moon, the thing is, I know the truth. But, many people like to believe not. They'll keep lying and lying and before you know it, people start to believe the lies.

I need to undo this, and prove to you (the non believers) that I do know the truth. When I do, everyone will benefit because then, you will get the correct information about the game of bowling, drilling and tech stuff.

Here's Miss Holier Than Thou (he's not a man) trying to make others think that whatever he says is correct, because he's so and so who works for Brunswick.

He has said things in the last few days that are TOTALLY un-true/not correct. If I didn't pick up on his mistake, nobody would. So then you would be believing something that was incorrect. Is this what we should let happen..?

All I did was point out he was wrong and all he had to to is admit and appologize for the mistake (everyone makes mistakes from time to time) and move on. No problem right..?

Well he hasn't, then makes up lies to try and cover himself up and goes and hides. That's what you're getting from Brunswick employees..!! I expect and want better..!!

Now we'll see how long it takes for "him" (I don't want to get personal) to clear things up with us. =:^D
