I think the number is right around 500, is that correct?

Jayhawk has this listed for it's Tri Oval Mill press:

I've seen drills that go from 200-3000+.  Is there a recommended minimum speed and/or a maximum speed? You know, at least xxx RPM, but not more than yyy RPM.

I think mine is set at 650

Thanks guys.  This is for somebody that asked me via PM.  My press was already setup, and didn't come with a manual.  I could probably go look at the spindles and try to figure it out, but the chart sticker is no longer there, so I'd be guessing at best.

A strobe light is pretty handy for checking rpms.

The key to not burning up your drill bits is to use the lowest RPM that you can without the bit chattering.

I think my JET press is set somewhere in the 350 range. A slow feed rate is the most important thing when considering the quality of your drill job.

The faster the drill turns the bit get burn faster.

If you got like a 2HP drill u can set them 300 RPM and will still cut like butter
