How does multiple re-drillings affect a bowling ball? Assuming you didn't hit the core.

If you want to experiment with different drillings, better/more efficient to redrill a ball you own, or say, buy multiple cheaper bowling balls, say Brunswick Power Grooves, and drill them differently to experience how different drillings will work for you?

I've got a Roto Silver Streak Pearl on the fourth drill pattern. It is currently my "saviour" ball. When everything else is too strong or just wrong I go to this and it works like a charm. So, I have no fear of redrilling balls.

Redrilling a ball multiple times will take weight from the core. The ball may not lose total reaction but the ball may be weaker in the backend or the ball might take longer to go through mid-lane. There is nothing wrong with this either because two of my best balls have been redrilled atleast twice before I was totally happy. Do not be afraid to redrill a ball. It may end up being one of your best balls.
