removing finger weight
« on: April 18, 2005, 11:22:32 AM »
drilled a ball to go long with finger weight,

but ball goes to long, can I get an earlier reaction by removing the finger weight ???

ball does not have a weight hole   any suggestions

P.S would a balance hole be a better option ??

But if you do decide you do want to remove finger weight, just drill the finger holes deeper.  --  JohnP

As JohnP said drilling the fingers deeper is the easiest way.

A balance hole can be used but depending on the placement it can also change side weights as well.

A balance hole on the grip mid line above the fingers would remove finger weight only but depending on where you track you might hit it.

Balance holes to the side and above the center will remove top, side and finger weight. The size and depth of the hole will depend on how much weight you want to remove and how much top weight is in the ball.  Your driller should have a scale and can determine the location and size.

But I’m with the others. Tweak the surface first. It is the easiest and if it doesn’t work it is the easiest to correct back.
