Title: Reverse pitch with a thumb slug
Post by: slickboobie on December 03, 2003, 06:42:27 AM
Can you reverse the pitch in a thumb hole by inserting a new slug and drilling that slug with a different pitch or do I have to plug the hole???

thanks

What size slug is in there now? If you're worried about the new pitch going through the slug, perhaps a bigger slug would alleviate that. What's the biggest available, 1-3/8"?

1 3/8 is the largest size slug available. You should be able to just slug it and redrill with the different pitch. BUT, if you are going with more forward oitch, it could change your span.
