I am thinking about putting a rico drilling on a xxxl ball to, this drilling is my favorite and am wondering what effect it would have on a polyester coverstock.

LL  --  If you think a layout won't change a plastic ball's reaction, try one with the special PBA layout, link below.  I'm not saying the Rico layout will change a plastic ball's reaction, but the PBA layout sure does.  --  JohnP

I would love to try that layout on a plastic ball. I wonder if plugging and redrilling a pancake would change the dynamics that much, since basically, when drilling a plastic ball over the label, you're taking out a large part of the "core"

IT won't effect the polyester coverstock.

It will certainly make some difference in reaction!

Richie Sposato could make a plastic XXXL sing with a pin on PAP and a 9 inch out and down weighthole.  But he is a strong hooking no thumber!

PS many with less hand could not get much on it at all.
PPS for Impending...that plastic the XXXL does have a powerful  core!

I don't believe Richie was covinced that the pin on PAP XXXL was strong enough for many except on Toasty.  And only with the 9 inch out weighthole!

I wonder on the Rico Pancake plastic.  Sounds very weak.

Me I like Mo Pinel's plastic idea!  I also like a shifted Rico as another idea!

PS as much reaction as I get in the back of the lane, I don't find pin on PAP much or enough reaction but often 2 inch pin to Pap has quite a bit!

No, plugging and redrilling won't change the dynamics enough to make a difference.  --  JohnP
