Title: Rico Drilling and High track players
Post by: tloy on February 04, 2007, 11:03:28 AM
I am a high track player and have been wanting to try this layout. With being a high track player I am concerned about clipping the fingers and/or thumb. Any suggestions to avoid clipping the fingers or thumb ? Thank you

X-Hole plays huge deal.  I'm gonna say second biggest deal is the cover.

I drilled my C+ first w/o an x-hole and it cliped the fingers.  Added the X-hole and I could throw the ball as hard and with as many revs as I want and not hit the holes.

Recently I'v been tweaking the cover a bit and found once I went so far the ball would start clipping again..

Isnt you supposed to have an X-hole on a rico drill? Its not recomended for high trackers to drill a ball rico. For those with really high tracks, balls with pin under ring or bridge will track over the fingers.

Yes, we've never drilled a ball like this and the number were under the limit so we let it go to see what it did.  It didn't work so we added the x-hole.

And yes, I am a high track bowler..
