Not wanting to jump anyone else's thread, I figured I would start another topic and ask my question (I have already read the other responses to the other post, and I believe that my question takes the previous one just a bit further):
Always in search of new drillings that offer a high level of roll+control I am currently very interested in the Rico layout -- however, I have my reservations about just slapping it on a ball (reservations = lack of proper funding). Since I track high, and the pin is so low on a Rico drilling, would this cause problems with the track flaring over the finger holes? If you do move the pin up a bit, in order to move the bowtie, does this somewhat take away from the intent of the drilling? For reference while responding, no ball of mine with the pin under has ever flared over the fingers -- although my polished Adrenaline (with the pin under middle finger and the cg swung out 35 degrees, does come close -- the bowtie is right at level with the fingers).
Also, if I were going to try the Rico layout on an older ball, which one from the following would you pick (these are all sitting in my basement collecting dust) -- Ebonite Ice, Brunswick Warp Zone (Highly Polished, of course), or Ebonite V2 Sweet?
