Title: Rico question?
Post by: mw11x300 on August 26, 2008, 11:41:37 PM
I am very well aware of the Rico layout as I have drilled and used the layout on a number of balls for myself and customers.  However, I am interested to know what if any effects a slight change in the drilling angle would yield.  What, if anything, would happen if the pin, cg, mb line was angled at 60* to the pap versus the normal 45*.  Keeping all other staples of the layout in tact with the pin in the palm and x hole 6 3/4 down from the pin through cg.  Just interested to know what the effect may be.

Depending on your PAP coordinates you may clip the balance hole one the first couple of revolutions with a drilling angle at 60°.

PAP is 5 1/2 right by 3/4 up.  I was actually interested to know if any significant change to the typically smooth Rico reaction would occur with a 60 versus the standard 45.  Maybe Ric himself will chime in?
