Was wondering if you guys get the same reaction with the Rico..
It seems the best surface prep to use this drilling is either polished or 4000,lower than 4000 the ball seems to roll too early and hit weak.
I really like this layout(have it in a OI),very nice readable ball reaction.

A drilling that creates as much midlane as this one demands oil in the heads and mids.

I have 70-75 units in the heads and 40-45 in the midlane.
Im a tweener.. PAP 5" over 1" up

I've take the cover all the way to 1000 with out any issue, but once I went past that the ball started flaring over the fingers...

The OI I had drilled Rico flared over my fingers and it was polished...I really didn't like that drill at all. Just me though probably

I have a black raspberry drilled Rico sanded to 1000grit. So far NO issues with rollout or weak hit. So far it has tremendous hitting power & carry. I used it on second league shot if that tells you anything. I would imagine hand position, release, & ball speed would have a lot to do with that.

I took it to 2000,had a 299 with it tonight(solid 9 pin)
The center I was at plays tighter than where I work, ball worked great there.
