I have a question for anyone who has drilled or knows for a fact their ball has negitive side weight on an asymmetric core ball.I previously drilled 2 Morich Seek and Destroys up with almost the same static weights prior to drilling, same pin length, same top weight. #1 had a cg( here we go) 1" left of a line between the pin and mb. The other was inline with the pin and mb.
After drilling #1 I had a asymetric flip drilling with the cg 1/2" into the neg quadrant above grip center. #2 same drill but required an X-hole,dur to the straight alignment of the three markings, drilled 2-1/2" right of grip center on mid line back to 1/2oz pos side weight.
While testing the two balls I found #1 cornered harder and had continuation until it dropped into the pit, where as #2 still had a good turn at the break but did not have the continuation #1 had.
Now after seeing this I drilled a Vapor Zone for my shop assistant, different asymmetric core with the same asymetric flip layout with negitve side weight, he has + 1/2 mph and more hand than I do, he could not contol the ball, hooked off the charts.Back to the shop we poured compound in the x-hole bring it back to 3/8 oz pos side to make the ball controllable for his game.
Has anyone else seen this? Or has anyone tried this, and did you see the same results? I called and spoke to Fred Caroll at Morich his explanation to follow.
