Quick span ?
« on: December 10, 2007, 03:42:38 AM »

Since I am at work and can't go home for my chart, I need some info.

If I were to go from 0 finger pitch to 1/8 reverse (less lift) what span compensation would I need?

          Thanx

Bill Taylor says add 1/16 of span for every 3/8 of reverse.

in this case add.....1/48 of reverse.

Add 1/48" of span.

You MAY not be able to feel that!

But you might!

I would not adjust your span for that change

I have also made that same change without altering the span. Felt just fine.

I'm having some pain in my first joint of my middle finger. I guess I'm getting old and less flexible. I'd like to try and relax that knuckle a bit.

I wouldn't change the span either.  When it comes to finger pitches, I normally won't change the span unless we are talking something drastic like 1/2 reverse.

FWIW, I'm 26 and 1/4 rev in both fingers to help clear the ball easier.

LOL. Well, maybe it's time for me. I'm 54 and just recently went from 1/4 forward to 0. I did readjust my span for that move. Now I think i'll go 1/8 reverse.
