Scaling a ball

I am new to drilling.  I have the drilling part pretty much down, but I need some help with scaling the ball.  I am not quite sure how to tell if the ball needs a balance hole and also what bit to use to take out the correct amount of weight.  Any advice will help, Thank you, Derek

In addition to what drill bit to use, I may be wrong, but I think Tenpin wants to know how to weigh the ball on a dodo Scale and then after weighing it, how to determine if it has 1/2 or 1 or 1 1/2 etc. oz side weight or finger weight, etc. or whatever. I can't answer this, but hopefully someone will, as I would also like to know how to do this myself.

Go to www.jayhawkbowling.com  then go under Tips, then look for weighing/balance. They go into pretty good detail on the legal limits and how to weigh a ball. Hope this helps.
