Simple pitch question
« on: January 09, 2008, 03:28:25 PM »
Had a driller tell me something tonight I did not agree with, but what do I know????

Can someone answer this simple question please.

For a left handed bowler, what is the effect of increasing left lateral thumb pitch?

Thanks

It makes the bowlers hand come around the ball more.

For a lefty, left lateral on your thumb should keep your thumb in the ball longer.

If you're talking about increasing the left lateral beyond what your thumb flexibility and hinge angle calls for I agree with YeahHossNV.  --  JohnP

Often will slightly lower track, AND one will stay in the ball longer unless one adds some reverse.

As stated above...we do not want to be at too much of an angle to the thumbhole or that leads to hanging in the hole by having ones pickle cockeyed to the barrell so to speak!
