I looked back a few months and did not see a post but I know I have seen this before.
Does a long narrow weight hole and short wide one taking out the same amount of weight, in the same location affect the ball differently??

Hole shape defines where/on which level you take out weight of the ball - with a deep narrow one having more potential to hit the more dense core, affecting the RG. If you hit the core, you relatively get out more weight with the same material volume as with a shallow but wider hole.
