Thumb Slug ?
« on: February 13, 2006, 02:02:40 PM »
I have two balls were the thumb has been moved once already. I would like to move it again to fit my span. I currently use 1 1/4 thumb slug I measured the current hole as well as where the plug is and it looks like im going to be just short of pulling out the plug and using 1 1/4 slug. My ? is could I go with a 1 3/8 slug? I will then be able to pull out the plug drill the hole for the slug and be as good as new. Can this be done? and will the pitches and everything be the same if I go with the 1 3/8 thumb slug.

shouldnt be a problem if you are covering up all of the holes

the reason im doing this is to get rid of the plug completely and just drill like a brand new ball.
