Someone post drillings for 5-6.5 inch pins
« on: March 26, 2004, 01:26:39 AM »
IS there anyone out there that would like to share some of the drillings they've used or seen in these long pin balls?

I for one like the pin 1 inch over the middle finger, with the C.G swung out and down into the thumb quadrant resting 1 inch below and left of the PAP with a weighthole on the PAP.  Gives a nice hard strong arc/set whenever it hits dry but coasts down the lane as long as there is head oil present.  It's great for smoothing out spotty patterns and playing extreme wet-dry.

It looks something like this

My Element has a five inch pin. The drill looks something like this.....

The pin is pretty high even with my 5 1/4 in. span. IMH, the reaction is huge! Almost too much on stripped backends. Prefer to use it on drying heads and carrydown.
