Sport Shot question
« on: October 28, 2003, 07:44:52 AM »
This week our sport league is changing the shot for the new quarter.  The shot will be a 44 feet flat pattern with light oil.  They said that it is a long, light pattern.  How would you guys attack the condition?  Where would you play and what would you use?

I assume that I will have to be in and chase the oil very quickly. I was thinking of using a 5x3 drilling so that I will get length, but some continuous roll on the backs.  I have a Pink rasperry that has some shine on it, with the pin below the finger.  I also have been using a purple bomb with pin above finger, drilled 5x4. I also have a cherry bomb that is 4x3, pin below the ring finger.

What do you think?

Wood lanes, from the 1960s.  Lanes just resurfaced.
