Is there a certain angle that the tape should be inserted?

I put a piece of white tape in line
where the front of my thumb goes in
the thumb hole. If more tape is needed,
I'll use a black piece in the back.If my
thumb is still a little loose, I'll put
the black tape AROUND the thumb hole.
The more I practice,the luckier I get.

Instead of using the tape inside the thumb hole. Get the type of tape that you put on your thumb. It avoids cleaning up the thumb hole everytime you have to remove it. It is easier to apply and take off.
