Title: Strange layout

Hi. Just picked 2 used 14lb balls off EBay. A Riot Zone and a Frankie May Gryphon. Both came from same seller. The way they are drilled it's like the fingers and thumb are reversed in relation to the pin -- pin is even with thumb and to the left. I never seen this drilling anyplace. What would this layout do for the ball reaction? If I threw this layout the track would be right over the pin. Strange.

It can be a full-roller layout. Its purpose is to get the track to move in betweem the thumb and fingerholes, if you are a full-roller.

Your right about being a full roller layout. On the sites with drill layouts I never bothered looking at the full roller setups cause that's not what I throw. One ball fits pretty good and I think I'll try it out in practice just to see what it does.

Depending on your track location, it may flare over the thumb, fingers, or both.  --  JohnP
