Has anyone ever had a ball with the pin very close to there VAL but at a distance of 3 3/8 or more from there pap? If so, what kind of reaction did you get?

The Tommy Jones drilling reaction is long to the break and smooth and continuous from there. Drilling the same pattern at 3 3/8 would just flare more and roll earlier and lose rotation faster off the break, so earlier and smoother than the 5" TJ drill, but longer and more continuous than a regular leverage drill.
Before drilling this I would make sure my pap measurements are correct. If you drill one with the pin past the val the reaction would be very strange to say the least.
A teammate of mind drilled a OI (very used) last week with the pin in the thumb, all I heard was the rumbling of the ball as it rolled over every hole including the weight hole.

I've just drilled a Pain like this, haven't thrown it yet, but can definitely report back over the weekend after I've had some games on it.

i've used this drilling on mediums with carrydown on some pearl balls. with dry heads this ball is clean through the fronts strong midlane but continous backend. we used an axis leverage placing the cg on my PAP.
