Super ? for ball drillers.

Ball drillers, can you create a Mass Bias in a symetrical core with a rev leveage weight hole. Can a flat spot be created with the combination of the thumb hole and rev hole and will this create a bombs away effect i.e ebonite Matrix. If so how do you pitch the X-hole.

This is a sticky question.  What you have to realize is what creates a MB is a pin out ball 1" +.  So yes Symmetrical cores DO have MB but the strength of this MB is no where near the strength of a MB in an Asymmetrical core.  That is why companies don't mark the MB on their symmetrical cored balls.  Because the MB in an asymmetrical core that determines 10% of the balls reaction only determines maybe 2-4% in a symmetrical core.  This is why we don't mark those.  If you want to use it you can draw a line 6 3/4 inches from the pin through the CG and find that mass.  So to answer your question you don't need to do all that because there already is one.

I don't think the question was answered properly. Personally, I don't think you can take enough out of the core to create a bombs away effect. And if you could, the ball will probably weigh up to be illegal. =:^D

You are absolutely right T-god.  I like your answer better!    I just was trying to help re-state is question because it didn't seem like he knew that all balls have a MB.

Thanks,
