« on: September 10, 2008, 02:12:44 AM »
Can putting large amounts of superglue on finger grips or thumb insert cause cracking on a bowling ball's outershell (surface)?

Thanks
Mike

I and my driller have never found any reason to use large amounts of Super Glue for this purpose. We both both put the tiniest amount of glue we can get out of the bottle. 2 drops for either edge of finger inserts because they are pliable, ONE drop for a thumb insert because it is stiff.

Super glue is really SUPER.

Yes, and too close to the surface can cause problems as well. As a rule of thumb, if it comes out the top of the insert, you used to much

I still find it amazing that some people say you can use super glue to fix small nicks and scratches.......on the surface of a ball.
