I have a ball I got used it has a switch grip installed would I have to plug the hole or will a regular thumb slug fit in the hole thanks
-
if you don't want to drill the sleeve out just use a 1 3/8 slug and drill it like that.
there is 1 1/2 slug?
-
Yes, a 13/8" slug will fit inside the switchgrip sleeve! You don't need to get a 11/2" slug, not unless you want to take the sleeve out, but you don't have to! When somebody comes into my shop with a switchgrip and they don't want it or they bought it from somebody, I just put a 13/8" slug inside and drill their thumb size and they're good to go!!!!

just call ahead to the pro shop and say that you want the switch grip drilled out and a slug put in. they will know that they need to get a 1 1/2" slug and will then let you know when to come in if they have to order it.
no big deal.

Drill it out, plug it, and then install a new slug...simple as that. plus if he has a small thumb, say 15/16" it would look really awkward to drill a 15/16" into a 1 1/2" slug....did I hear someone mention Busch League?
