Taking out an ounce

I want to take about 1 ounce of sideweight out of a ball.  What size and depth should I drill the hole to get that out?  I think I want a small diameter hole to achieve more of a flip.  I will probably drill this hole on the axis.

That is perfect, thanks.  I am also "assuming" that "roughly" for every inch right of the grip center the cg is makes the the statics 1 oz positive?

eh... i dunno about that, i think it depends upon how heavy the top weight is.
