I just ordered a VE and am looking for a tamer layout. I was possibly thinking pin under middle finger. but not sure where I want to put the cg/mb. Any ideas?

Used a RICO drill on the VE I won from Storm. Love the reaction which is strong but smooth. No jerk on the back end.

Once again, why would you not contact your driller about this?
If he/she is not to be trusted, why wouldn't you contact Storm about it?
I remain confused

I drill my own stuff, but I was not sure if people have used certain drillings that they found very tame. I know what I want to do, but have had a few people say something different so I am looking for other opinions also.

do a 6" pin-to-PAP and put the key near your thumb to get it down the lane.

i have my mighty shift which uses the same core drilled 2.5x3 and its pretty smooth. it rolls up a little early with that layout but still incredibly smooth.

Which version of "tame" are you looking for and how much length do you want? I mean there are:
1) Early and smooth
2) Mid and smooth
3) Long and smooth
4) Very controlled
These are generalized buckets but what exactly are you looking for?

I plan on using it this year in college and I was thinking either long and smooth or control. Ive heard good things about Rico drillings on this ball, but dont know if thats what I want.

Easiest thing is to use dual angle. Something like 70 degrees by 5 1/2 pin to pap by 65 degrees will give you a ball reaction that is smooth, not very aggressive, and gets down the lane well.
