It is so interesting to move and bowl in different areas of the country.

Where I came from it seemed like the oil was medium deep in the heads and even deeper in the midlanes.  Then somehow the backends were flying.

Most of us particularly the lefties were drilling stuff with cg out.  More midlane, pins down.  And using a release that focused on driving the ball to the breakpoint and not generating backend.

Now I'm in a different area of the country.  The oil pattern is deep in the heads and then seems to get shallower quicly in the midlanes.  Funny most bowlers are softer in the release as far as drive to the breakpoint but make sure they get around it enough to get reaction and drive at the back.  Also this condition is a heavy crown with dry to the outside and wet than thicker wet to the inside.  (versus previous area very often without of bounds patterns).

I'm already finding that I'm using and seeing a lot more pin up balls!  For more around the corner action.  Carry is important and getting up higher in the pocket is the goal here!

In addition I just did a review on a Silver Streak.  I drilled it 4 1/4 X 3 1/2, stacked for me.  I am having a wonderful time on this local condition particularly on the league type shot with this drilling and this wonderful ball.

Not only am I hitting the pocket but I'm carrying wide ,proper and inside.
This drilling was NOT real useful in my previous area!  Interesting.
I also realized it was only about the 3rd or 4th stacked drilling I'd done for myself.  Most of the previous stacked drillings had shorter pin to pap distance 3 3/8 to 4.

Just interesting.

I may be finally starting to understand the term wall, and just how fun it can be!
