modified stack pattern
« on: October 24, 2007, 02:10:52 PM »
I normally use a stack pattern on my equipment. my question is this.

If i use the stack drilling but move the pin 1" strait up, what difference would i see vs. a standard stack drill?

what i am looking for is to go longer but still have the pop of a stack drill.

You'd basically need a ball with a bigger pin distance than usual - depending on your PAP you should add some length to the ball before it breaks, and you might see a little less overall reaction.

As alternative, you can also stick with the drilling but move the pin further away from the PAP, not higher. This will tame down the reaction, too, but not delay the break as much as the high pin - IMHO it is the more effective way, especially if you use stacked leverage drillings.
