tenth frame vs. vise
« on: October 15, 2007, 05:07:30 PM »
Do any of you guys find that the tenth frame grips do not correspond with vise grip sizes?  Or is it just me?

Vise > 10th Frame

They aren't even close to one another for sizing, nor quality.

I find that 10th Frame grips do not correspond with any other company's grips, size to size. They run noticeably smaller than the others.

Just looked at the PBA approved products page - Tenth Frame is there, but I still only use VISE grips and slugs.

Agreed - vise finger inserts are sized correctly.  The same cannot be said of their oval thumb sleeves.

About 3 years ago I ordered both round and oval thumb sleeves and discovered that there is a problem with their thumb sleeve sizing....Round tapered sleeves are correct, but, their oval sleeves are much smaller than the size imprint on the sleeve.  I am not using vise sleeves now because I did not want to buy 1 each of all of their oval sleeves. I called the company about this.  I do not know if my complaint was addressed - I do hope that they did change the sizing in the mold or provide a conversion chart.

I think 10th frame finger insert sizes are about 1/64" smaller than the expected size.  I switched to 10th frame ovals due to a great price and found that the shape of their oval has a very good feel.

I like 10th frame powerlifts...when bowling good they feel like they stay on the fingers for ohhhhh about 1/2 hour(lots of time to adjust).

When bowling bad...they jump off my fingers as fast as everything else!

these two brands aren't even close in quality. i've used nothing but vise grips brands finger inserts and thumb slugs for over 10 years.
