Layout options for a 6" pin out
« on: February 14, 2007, 01:48:51 PM »
So I have a question for the drillers out there...since I don't feel like making a 45 minute drive up to ask my driller. For balls with pin distances between 6" - 7.5" what kind of options are available? I know that with much longer distances, you can just drill on the opposite side of the ball...but for something like a 6" pin, that would result in something like a 7.5" "anti-pin" distance and vice versa.

I'm particularly interested in buying a discounted ball with a 6" pin-cg distance, because I'll be saving over 50 bucks vs a 1st quality version.

So what can you tell me? Thanks in advance

You have alot of options with a 6" pin, it's just that most will require a weighthole since the shift of the C.G. will be so dramatic.  What ball is it and what do you want it to do?

And if you buy it, check the cg location before laying it out.  The cg could be mismarked.  --  JohnP
