Title: The feeling of a no thumb release.
Post by: jbruno6 on January 23, 2008, 09:28:51 AM
In your opinion which thumb pitch would promote the closest thing to a no thumb release?  Does a 1/4 +/- reverse thumb allow the thumb to clear quicker, leaving that split second of the entire ball laying on the fingers?  Or does a forward pitch promote that no thumb feel?  I'm probably wording it wrong, but I hope you catch my question.  Reverse to clear thumb quicker or forward?

A half ten is not a great shot.  No, you shouldn't have carried it.

The closest you will get to a no thumb feel would be 1 1/4" reverse with 1 1/4" right laateral(if you are right haanded),but I would not suggest these if you want to not squeeze the ball!

Yes, plenty of reverse will help you to get the palm to lay flatter on the ball, but with left pitch, not right for a right hand bowler. =:^D
