thumb pitch and oval angle

Are there relationship between thumb pitch and oval angle. Let say i'm going to reduce the thumb laterial pitch from 1/4 right to 0.
And currently 45 degree oval.

It could have an affect on the angle. Best thing to do is drill it up with your new pitch and then check it. You will have to be aware of any new wear that may occur and whether it be due to the pitch change or the need of adjusting the oval angle.
