Hey guys,
I just came across this older video and it confirmed something that I know to be true for me but I don't think I know why. Chris Barnes mentioned in the video that higher rev bowlers have a sweet spot for PIN to PAP of 5 to 6 1/2 inches. Being a higher rev bowler, I have found that +/- 5 inch pins work best for me (65 x 5 x 40 layout for back end and 50 x 4 1/2 x 70 layout for control).
I know that there is alot more to this answer question thouroghly (i.e. - tilt, ball speed, axis rotation, etc.), but, in general, can any of you drillers give more background on why this general relationship of PIN to PAP and Rev Rate is true?
