Thumb Slug Question
« on: November 15, 2005, 03:42:23 PM »
I was wondering if it is possible to put a thumb slug into a pre-existing hole that did not have one originally. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

As Brickguy said, "Yes".  If the hole is already the correct size for a slug (they come in 1 1/8", 1 1/4", and 1 3/8" diameters), it can go directly in the hole.  If the hole is any other size, your driller will have to enlarge it.  Even if (for example) the hole is 1 1/8", but has a lot of bevel, he will probably enlarge it.  --  JohnP
