Just a quick question.......is one more for clammy moist hands, and one more for dry hands?

vinyl is softer, for drier hands....gives more grip v/s urethane .....harder, for more moist hand...is most commonly used though.

You can adjust the feel of either to feel smoother/slicker or more tacky. If you use some 1000grit sand paper(just cut them into disc for your sander) and run it through the thumb hole a few times and it makes it smooth as glass. Or a rougher grit if it starts to feel to slick.

I usually run some 80 grit sandpaper in mine to give them a matte, smooth-type of feel. I have sweaty hands and if I sand them until they're slick, I'll go down the lane with the ball.
I like the urethane because they take to sanding a little better being harder. Vinyl can also be a pain to drill because it just flakes apart.
