Pin Axis & Core Dynamics

Are core dynamics mostly negated for symmetrical cores the closer you put the pin to the pap? For instance, will a low rg and a high rg ball display similar motion with a pin axis drilling (coverstock type and prep equal)? Ball examples: Horizon Solid vs. Saturn, Special Agent vs. T-Road Solid, ect., ect. Thanks for the help.

Considering that the low RG is usually considered to be when the pin is placed on end of the X-axis, which is mostly, I believe, the bowler's Positive Axis Point, then the core's RG is the published low RG (some published RGs are averages.)

So I think the answer is no, the RG of the pin axis is th elow published RG number.

The only way to show this is if a brand has 2 balls with very different core RG values with the exact same coverstock. Maybe an old Sapphire zone and a new Power Groove could do it. Both use PK 17.
