Title: Top Weight and Pin Placement HELP
Post by: THartBowler on January 03, 2004, 08:43:22 AM
Hello!  I am getting buying two new balls off of Bowling.com, a Columbia Hyde and a Throttle.  Previously, I have had two Brunswick cheapo balls that were only 2 finger balls.  I want these balls drilled 3 finger and fingertip with Vice grips, but I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about cg, top weight, and pin placement, ect...  I would like to know a good, aggressive setup for me (a righty, 16 lbs) so I can specify what I want as far as top weight and pin placement when I place my order on Bowling.com.  I want to order these as soon as possible, so any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks a lot!

You generally can't go wrong with a 3" pin and 3 oz topweight.  If you like earlier roll and more arc, order a 2" pin with 2-2.5 oz top.  If you want a little more length and flip, get a 4" pin with 3-4 oz top.  Don't go too crazy with topweight or you might need a monster weighthole if you move the CG near your axis.
