Top weight question?
« on: December 31, 2007, 06:03:00 AM »
I have A morich LevRG drilled 4 1/2 x 4  1/2. I am wondering if there is to much top weight, not giving me a desirable reaction.  If so is a weight hole(an where) or just redrill lowering the pin an cg a better option.  The ball is just going to long i have tryed adjusting the surface with no luck.  Here is a picture of the ball.  http://thumb13.webshots.net/t/68/168/9/30/88/2066930880100644713bLgdlF_th.jpg   the cg is right below the bridge.   Any help would be greatly appreciated

It sounds like more of too much finger weight rather than top weight.  With the pin and cg location, the ball is going to go real long before it flips.  If you wanted to try something before plugging the ball and redrilling it, I would try and drill the finger holes deeper to take out some of the finger weight.  That may be enough to give you the reaction you are looking for without having to plug the ball, good luck!!

Finger weight, especially in a morich ball (really strong core) has almost NO EFFECT!!!  Jeez.

Also the pin doesn't matter as much as the MB placement...the MB is probably not in a strong enough position.  Can't really tell from the photo, but that is probably the problem.
