Track 916 AT question
« on: December 21, 2010, 10:16:36 PM »
I just won a 916 AT. I have a question on what layout and coverstock I should start with.

I use my 505C at 4000/lightly polished and it does what it's supposed to do with the #1 drilling. (med-med dry 1st shift THS) It's more than enough ball for me on this condition.

I was thinking of the exact same drilling/finish for the 916. I am most comfortable standing as far left as I can and going 15-5. Am I going to be able to do this with this ball, or should I consider another combination since this ball is so much stronger? I guess I'm more concerned with the drilling since the ball will take cover changes easily.

Maybe go with the OOB- which is 2000 abralon so it's not so powerful at the end? Or go to another drilling option?

My 916AT is drilled similar to the #1 pattern and it flat hooks OOB. If I was throwing a 505C 15 to 5 then the 916AT would be 5 or 6 boards farther left at the arrows.
