Track Flare Study
« on: July 22, 2012, 11:16:53 AM »
Scanning the net, looking for more information on the dual angle system, I came across the "Track Flare Study" as mentioned in the subject line above. I haven't read all the way through just yet, but I wanted to share the link and see what the drilling experts on this site thought about it.

Was reading over it last night. Great stuff.
…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

This study has a lot of good information.  I would imagine most average bowlers would not understand the details of the information provided.  Even some of the proshops guys might not.

If anything, I think in confirms how the dual angle method works.  Seeing the graphs of each type of ball as they change the pin distance, VAL angle and drilling angle gives you a better visual prospective of what happens as each variable changes.

The trick is understanding how all three work together on different types of balls for different types of bowlers.
