Anyone currently using them? Likes and dislikes?

Are you talking about the removable slugs. I have them in two balls for about a month. It feels nice having each ball feeling exactly the same.

Yes...these are the Turbo Grip system that will allow a bowler to remove their thumb and pop it into another ball. The styem itself works well and we've had a few people try it through our shop.
Personally I still think a duplicated thumb is still a better way to go...and comparing sales of the two concepts our customers seem to agree.

I've seen several of these used all over the place. It is a great idea for pro shops and all, but I, personally, think its just another way for pro shops to make your bowling equipment costs more expensive. It really isn't all that hard for me to do my own thumb, close my eyes, and not be able to tell the difference between the feel of my thumbholes. It's going a little to far, IMO.
It is a good concept, but I do not think it is practical enough for me to get.

If memory serves me correctly you have to used a 1-1/2" bit as opposed to the typical 1-1/4" bit. I don't remember exactly how much of a difference in weight their would be without consulting my handy hole size -vs- depth weight removal chart I have hanging in the shop. Hey, I copied it so I wouldn't have to memorize it!

This system in theroy of course works quite well. But in practical use it is very expensive to install for most bowlers. plus there is the issue of now static weights are changed because you must use a 1 1/2 drill bit for the outter sleeve. but this design is much better than the others i have i seen.

These are the best thing since sliced bread, hands down. I use them in all my equipment now, and just finished state tourney way above my norm. I could rant about them forever, and happily debate their advatages with everyone, but I'll save the typing. If you've got a pro shop that can fit them, they work, period.
Happy to discuss further with anyone who wants to PM me....
